Frequently Asked Questions
I’m using OxyMask at home that I was given at the hospital – how do I get another one?
We appreciate you using Oxy2Mask to satisfy your oxygen needs. We partner with many Home Respiratory companies to provide Oxy2Mask to people in our community using oxygen. Please contact your Home Oxygen provider and they should be able to supply you with more Oxy2Masks. If they don’t currently carry Oxy2Mask, then please send along the downloadable brochure on this page to make them aware of Oxy2Mask!
Can I buy this off Amazon?
While you may find Oxy2Mask on Amazon for sale, please know that we do not provide Oxy2Mask to any Amazon vendor. Because of this, we cannot guarantee the performance or quality of any product you purchase off Amazon or any other 3rd party ‘like’ site. Plus, we have heard instances of people buying medical products like Oxy2Mask off these sites, only to find they get shipped a used/soiled device, parts of a device, or a device that is broken. Buyer Beware! It is best that you obtain your Oxy2Mask products from a Southmedic authorized vendor to ensure you receive the quality you expect and need in an oxygen delivery product!
I don’t feel any flow through this mask? Is it working?
Can I get a replacement elastic? Mine has worn out?
Can I use OxyMask with my CPAP?
Oxy2Mask is meant for oxygen delivery only. It does not create the seal necessary that other CPAP mask interfaces require, and therefore, cannot be used with your CPAP machine.
Can I use OxyMask with my portable pulsing oxygen device?
Because Oxy2Mask is a mask that sits in front of your airway, and not in your nares like nasal cannula do, it is not advisable for you to use Oxy2Mask with any device that requires a triggered pulse of oxygen flow. Typically, no oxygen masks should be used with pulsing oxygen devices, since there is no guarantee the patient will be able to reliably trigger the device through a mask. Please consult the healthcare professional assigned to your care for advice on appropriate interfaces to use with pulsing oxygen devices.
This mask feels too big/too small, are there other sizes available?
